Collection: Portrait of a Lion

This collection features a photograph of a lion made at the San Francisco Zoo. At the time the photograph was made, the Zoo was home to lions, tigers, and bears (oh my!). More recently, the Zoo has found different homes for the lions and tigers. The Zoo is still home to snow leopards and  fisher cats. The Zoo also still has bears, including a pair of grizzly bear sisters who have grown up at the Zoo, after having been orphaned in the wild.
